How much is Christmas Day at the Kings Head?
£89.50 per person. That covers smoked salmon blinis with a glass of Prosecco on arrival, a starter, main and dessert, then coffee or a pot of English Breakfast tea with a mince pie. The children's Christmas Day menu is £44.50 per child.
How do I book Christmas Day?
A £10 deposit per person secures your booking. Menu pre-orders and the remaining balance are due by 18 December 2026. Book online or call us on 01293 783417.
What does the festive set menu cost?
From Monday to Wednesday, two courses are £25 and three courses £30. From Thursday to Sunday, two courses are £30 and three courses £35. The festive children's menu is £12.95 for two courses or £15.95 for three.
Do I need to pre-order from the festive set menu?
Yes. Menu pre-orders are required seven days before your booking, and a £5 deposit per person secures the table. The deposit is deducted from the final bill.
Do you do a Christmas buffet for parties?
Yes. The Christmas buffet is £19.95 per person, for a minimum of 10 people, and needs to be ordered in advance. You can add a canapé selection (£3.95 per person), a cheese board (£3 per person) or sweet treats (£3.95 per person).
Can we book part of the pub for a Christmas party?
Yes, areas of the pub can be booked for parties. We don't have a separate function room. Call us on 01293 783417 to talk it through.
Are there vegetarian options on the Christmas menus?
Yes. On Christmas Day the vegetarian main is the Mushroom, Malbec & Port Wellington, and the festive set menu has a Butternut Squash & Lentil Wellington. Each menu marks its vegetarian dishes, and the Christmas Day lemon tart is marked gluten-free. Please tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements when you book.
Are children welcome at Christmas?
Yes, children are welcome. There is a children's menu for Christmas Day and a festive children's menu alongside the set menu.
